About

A one-man workshop, properly run.

Cairngorm Customs is small on purpose. One pair of hands on every bike, full traceability on every job, and a paper trail you can take to an insurer or a buyer.

01 / The mechanic

John. 15 years in, and still on the tools.

Time-served motor mechanic. Qualified mechanical engineer. Fifteen years on the trade side of a workshop floor, diagnostics-led, fabrication-capable, comfortable on anything from a Japanese twin to a British single.

Cairngorm exists because the work John wanted to do, proper restorations, considered one-off builds, the bench jobs that take time, doesn't fit inside a high-throughput dealer service department. So he built somewhere it does.

02 / The workshop

New unit, July–August 2026.

We're moving into a brand new unit this summer. Purpose-fitted bays, secure storage for customer bikes, and a dedicated MOT station coming online later in the year.

Want to see the workshop?

Once the new unit's open, you're welcome to come down for a consultation in person, easier than describing a tank shape over FaceTime.
